Who I am

I am…

  • A senior development and capital project leader with 20+ years of experience delivering large-scale residential, mixed-use, cultural, and institutional projects in New York City and internationally.

  • A strategic owner’s representative with a strong architectural and design foundation and proven ability to lead teams, manage risk, provide guidance, and deliver high-value projects in challenging environments.

  • A licensed architect registered in the state of New York, a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a U.S. Army National Guard veteran.

What I do:

My expertise spans pre-development, entitlements, infrastructure coordination, consultant and contractor procurement/oversight, design + construction management, FF&E, and stakeholder engagement across complex, multilayered organizations.

I work with organizations at many stages of project development—from early planning through active construction—often in situations requiring clear decision-making, coordination among multiple stakeholders, and alignment of scope, budget, and schedule.

I also work with individuals on residential projects where guidance is needed on process, planning, design, and/or construction issues.

My Story

I came to New York City after receiving a Masters degree in architecture from Yale University. I began my career working in architecture firms such as Cesar Pelli & Associates, Deborah Berke and Partners, and Beyer Blinder Belle. At these well-established firms I built my skills in design, documentation, and construction administration on all project types including luxury residential, institutional, and educational buildings. Several of these were published in major magazines and newspapers.

I became a licensed and registered architect in 2006.

I served as the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s (BAM), Director of Capital Projects for over a decade directing over $350M+ in capital planning and project delivery across a dense, continuously operating historic urban campus.

In my role at BAM, I functioned as the internal design executive and owner’s representative, working with executive leadership, city agencies, and external partners to deliver complex projects. The work required careful phasing, constant communication, schedule control, and alignment with operational and public-facing requirements.

I led feasibility studies, consultant procurement, design management, city agency coordination, environmental reviews, and construction oversight for theaters, cinemas, public art installations, and major renovations—including work in landmark buildings and sensitive historic interiors.

Most recently, I served as Senior Director of Design for the AlUla Development Company (UDC), located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

During my time at UDC, I oversaw multidisciplinary teams and international consultants on architecturally significant hospitality and related projects embedded within sensitive historic and natural contexts of unprecedented beauty.

I led design governance and process management for hospitality and infrastructure-adjacent projects delivered under strict regulatory and authority approval frameworks. I worked directly with internal and external stakeholders such as the Royal Commission for AlUla.

I authored and executed RFPs, design briefs, and international design competitions, managed consultant procurement, established company-wide design management and quality assurance protocols, and coordinated closely with approving agencies to advance projects efficiently while managing risk.

Who I help.

  • Institutions

  • Non-profits

  • Developers (residential, mixed-use, hospitality)

  • Residential owners (individuals, co-ops/condo boards)

After 10 years as an architect, I returned to school and earned a 2nd Masters degree in Real Estate Development from New York University. I worked for a real estate developer for several years as a development manager handling all aspects of residential developments from the financial planning and concept phases to construction, closings, and move-in.
